Sierra Louie

Hi! I’m a Chinese-Canadian writer, artist, and editor currently working on unceded xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, and səlilwətaɬ land. As of 2025, I have completed an MFA in Creative Writing through the University of British Columbia where I focused on writing comics, fiction, and poetry. I also completed a Bachelor of Media Studies at UBC in 2022.
You can find a list of my publications here, and samples of my art and comics on this site, along with all of my latest work and updates on Instagram.
I’m the Acquisitions and Poetry Editor at Pulp Literature Press, and from 2024-2025, I was the Prose Editor at PRISM international. Currently, I’m at work illustrating my debut graphic novel (which you can learn about here).
My great and strange loves include a whole host of horror and fantasy media, historical costuming, the X-Files, Pompompurin (of Sanrio fame), letter writing, getting upset at my daily horoscope, screenshotting art references I will never look at again, Earl Grey tea, stickers (all sorts), putting together an especially good outfit, and the family dog.
